Augusta is a Qualified Mental Health Professional with a Master's Degree in Community and School Counseling. His educational background also includes a B.A. in Political Science from Virginia State University. He is currently pursuing his long-term goal of obtaining his Doctorate in Organizational Leadership.
He is the owner and Executive Director of Supportive Intervention Services, LLC. As the Executive Director, Augusta manages all aspects of the agency and is responsible for the overall effectiveness of the organization. He serves as the visible spokesperson for the agency. He builds and maintains external relationships with government officials, other mental health organizations, and the community at large.
After spending nearly 25 years working in the mental health field, Augusta found himself connected with people experiencing both individual and family struggles. He believes that with support, empathy, and compassion every individual can overcome dysfunction and hardship present in their everyday lives. Augusta guides people towards developing healthy perceptions of themselves. In doing so, they come to know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole and safe.
He is dedicated to making sacrifices in his personal life to better assist others with improving theirs. In June 2016 Augusta funded and created HandUp Community Resource Center a 501 (3) (C) non-profit organization that provides services to individuals who are experiencing hardship and crisis.
Recent Accomplishment creation of Vetlink Veteran Service Center first in Virginia that serves as an access point for Veterans experiencing homelessness, Daybreak Transition in Place Program, and recipient of the Bank Of America RFP in 6PICS Highland Park Community.
Augusta aims to make a tremendous impact in the world through love, support, and genuine care for the people in his community.
